A new storm system was designated as Tropical Storm Bill a mere 12 hours after Tropical Storm Ana was named.  This was a remarkable day. It is as if the Tropical Atlantic has “switched on” for the Atlantic Hurricane season.

A remnant low, formerly known as Tropical Depression 2 has regenerated in the tropical Atlantic. This morning, it became the Atlantic Hurricane season’s first named storm: Tropical Storm Ana.
